A recent example of this can be seen here in a wetland nature reserve in South England (yellow box) when a 25-metre HippoDam barrier was used to isolate and subsequently dewater part of the reserve’s lake infrastructure to facilitate repairs and enhancements to wildfowl breeding grounds.
